The Bennett Team
Michael Bennett
President/Chairman
Michael is co-founder, President, and Chairman of The Bennett Foundation. In 2014, he made a promise to implement a health plan for kids in Hawaii, and he did it--in a matter of three short months. Action-oriented and focused, Michael is determined to change the health game for underserved communities.
Pele Bennett
Executive Director
Pele is co-founder and Executive Director of The Bennett Foundation. Partnering with her husband, she saw the need in Hawaii and sought to address the health concerns of the communities there. When it comes to health, Pele believes in setting realistic expectations and participating as a family.
Tina Griffith
Programs Director
Tina is an operations specialist who has collaborated with nonprofits, private organizations, and government agencies to bring outreach services and health events to Hawaii's communities. Her goal is to engage, educate, influence, and promote members of the community in decisions related to achieving and maintaining healthy lifestyle behaviors.
While working for Project Vision Hawaii, she attended a roundtable discussion at Hawaii’s State Capital where she met Michael Bennett. At the end of the discussion on improving the health of children in Hawaii, Mike leaned across the conference table and said, “We can do something.” Tina agreed to assist Mike in the inaugural OCEAN Fest in Hawaii in 2014 and has been a part of The Bennett Foundation since its inception, participating in planning events and relationship building with community stakeholders. As the Foundation's Director of Programs and Grants, she passionately advocates for and supports the Foundation’s mission.
