2016 Dinner & Auction Raises Funds to Fight Childhood Obesity

The Bennett Foundation

It was a busy weekend for The Bennett Foundation. On May 21 and 22, the foundation hosted the O.C.E.A.N. Health Fest in Carnation, Washington and the The Bennett Foundation’s Annual Dinner & Auction. The dinner and auction took place at El Gaucho in Bellevue, where support from the evening went toward The Bennett Foundation’s fundraising efforts to help fight childhood obesity. Guests gathered for the reception, bid on silent auction items, and participated in a spirited live auction event which included Seahawks coach Pete Carroll facing off with wide receiver Doug Baldwin in a competition to see who could raise the most money auctioning off a platter of desserts.

Teammates Cliff Avril, Jermaine Kearse, and Steven Hauschka were also present at the event, serving as celebrity waiters. Michael’s brother and Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett was in attendance with his wife Siggi. Great fun was had by all, and the event was a success: over $400,000 was raised that evening!
