The Bennett Foundation

On August 21st, lauded local chefs of all culinary backgrounds gathered at The Stone House Cafe for the 3rd Annual Seattle Poke Contest. Hosted by Sam Choy, the contest is the largest poke event in Seattle. 12 chefs participated this year, each preparing their own take on poké for a chance to win one of four awards: Best Presentation, Best Overall Taste, Most Creative, and Crowd Favorite.

With so many talented chefs and delicious interpretations of poké to pick from, the panel of judges had a tough job! Chef Bayley Le of Go Poke won Best Presentation for his poké dish, and Chef John Howie of Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar was awarded Best Overall Taste. Chef Cameron Hanin of Ma’ono recieved the award for Most Creative, and Chef Varin Keokitvon of Heartwood Provisions was the Crowd Favorite.

Together, we raised over $15,000 for The Bennett Foundation! Many thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support at this amazing event!
