O.C.E.A.N. Health Fest and the Gauntlet Football Camp

The Bennett Foundation

Last weekend was one for the books! Between the O.C.E.A.N. Health Fest and the Gauntlet Football Camp, we made memories that will last a lifetime. It was an awesome opportunity to meet and be inspired by the kids and their families from the Honolulu area.

At our 5th annual O.C.E.A.N. Health Fest on Saturday, everybody participated in several activities from simple cardio exercises to high-tech body imaging scans. We wanted to help bring some education around how our bodies worked and the importance of taking care of ourselves! We were also able to do health screenings for families and provided valuable keiki nutrition lessons.

At the Gauntlet Football Camp, we were able to have two specific sessions for different ages and positions. With the help of DeForest Buckner and Ma’a Tanuvasa, we were able to provide a positive, fun-filled experience where we could educate athletes on skills, rules, strategy, and discipline in football. We were able to educate on proper nutrition and about the importance of promoting a lifelong lifestyle of physical activity and the connection of food and the body to performance, health status, and quality of life.

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, supporters, partners, players, kids, parents, and family who contributed to such a fantastic weekend. We couldn’t have done it without you!
