Native American Youth Join Michael Bennett at Seahawks Headquarters
During the last weekend of 2017, Michael Bennett invited youth from the Lummi and Nooksack Tribes to join him at the Seahawks’ team headquarters in Renton, Washington. 80 kids of all ages attended, participating in fun drills directed by some of the players. At the end of practice, the Nooksack Drum Group performed a blanketing ceremony to thank Michael for his support of the tribe.
Michael Bennett and his wife Pele were similarly recognized by the Lower Brule Sioux tribe during the O.C.E.A.N. Sports Camp in South Dakota.
